Old favourites
No.16
The stagnant Manchester, Bolton and Bury canal.
Perhaps I should call this one 'Broccoli and Pea Soup'!
I had done a walk earlier in the day. When I arrived at the canal it was pouring down and I sheltered under the bridge (No.16) where this was taken from. A little further up the canal from this spot is an old steam crane, an industrial relic which interested me but at the time, due to the rain I didn't take my camera out of the bag. Later in the day after the walk had finished I drove to this spot and parked nearby. It was only a short walk through the woods to the canal. The pic of the steam crane didn't turn out that well but I saw this on the way back and liked the green colour of the canal and the big tree, with the much improved sky.
