This photo was taken just after sunset and immediately after the illuminations were switched on at 7.30pm. Night photography is at it's best when there is still some light left in the sky so that shapes and structures are still well defined and is then, therefore not just a collection of lights with no shape or form.

I watched the lights come on but the tower didn't. I waited for what seemed like ages and then gave up and walked back towards the tower, shortly afterwards, they came on!
