Snowdrops at Whelprigg
Whelprigg House was built in 1834 for the Gibson family, local landowners in the Lunesdale region. It was designed and supervised by the well-known architects, Websters of Kendal and various additions were made in the early 20th century. The house and surrounding estate were acquired by the present owner’s family, the Bowrings, in 1921.
The house is available as a stately holiday property for groups of up to 12 people.
