Derwent Edge, Peak District

Derwent Edge is a spectacular rocky ridge high above Ladybower Reservoir in the Peak District. The Dambusters squadron of Lancaster Bombers trained here in the Derwent Valley in the second world war. They practised flying low above the reservoirs in order to obtain the correct height in order to drop their famous bouncing bombs.

The pictures contained within are a sneak-preview of what you can expect to see if you come on my walk next sunday (plug, plug). All the photos are in the order of the route taken.
