This was the day that we should have been going to Mull on the ferry. Storm Barbara had blown in from the Gulf stream (she always causes trouble) and the wind and rain gave us a good battering. After looking round the shops in Oban, going for a read of the books in Waterstones and making my debut tv appearance on the national news we decided to drive inland to Inveraray and hope it would be less windy...as it happens it wasn't quite as bad.
